Our offered wines are perfectly stored in a vaulted cellar, cool, dark and with high humidity. In this auction we are offering:5 bottles 2002 Kracher TBA No. 12 - (No)ble Wine - essenceDescription from the website of Kracher:(for 375 ml.; 3.9% vol. alcohol, 452 g/l r.s. 10 g/l acidity) According to Austrian law, this is actually not wine at all but rather partially fermented grape juice, as it did not reach 5% alcohol. (It is only possible for alcoholic fermentation to take place on the exposed surface of syrupy grape musts with sugar content this high.) Originally confiscated by the federal wine inspectors and forbidden to enter the market, the product was then de-classified and labeled as a partially fermented grape must. Similar lots in the past at the Kracher winery have never been as clear and clean, and this cuvee can be considered Krachers ultimate reply to Tokaji Essenzia. Brilliant pale amber color. Aromas of smoky botrytis, spicy pumpernickel, stone fruit jam, exotic tropical fruit and flowers. Thick yet somehow juicy and balanced, thanks to its very strong acidity. This elixir is an infant today, and has a potential for nearly eternal life in bottle.95/100 Vinous/Peter MoserBottled by: Weinlaubenhof Kracher GmbH, Apetlonerstraße 37, 7142 Illmitz, AustriaProduct from Austria alc.: 4.0% volFill level: into neck - high fillLabel condition: very goodCapsule condition: very goodAllergen: contains sulphiteArtno: Cat797BUYING DIFFERENT LOTS: If you buy different lots it's maybe possible to combine the shipping so the real costs for shipping are cheaper than the accumulate shipping costs from the different purchases which you pay to Catawiki. This also applies to new costs incurred in the rejection and return to the original consignor of parcels by the respective customs authority. In particular, the buyer will be charged for the cost of the return and any new shipping to the buyer. MATURED WINE: Generally to matured wines, old wines and wine rarities: Wine is a natural product that may undergo changes in taste and color over the course of decades of storage. Therefore, we can not guarantee the drinkability and flawless taste of old aged wines. However, we take the utmost care in buying these wines, convince ourselves of optimal storage conditions, check the history of the bottles as far as possible and also carry out visual inspections of the bottle contents for cloudiness and consistency changes. As already mentioned, older mature wines change their original taste during the decades of storage and sometimes have a ripe clay. White wines often tend towards a darker color like cognac, sherry or amber and can form tartar, red wines often form a depot on the bottom of the bottle. A different visual and taste experience compared to young wines is not uncommon for mature wines. For wine drinkers who have problems with the partly fresh, pronounced acidity of young wines, matured wines can be a real blessing, as the wine acid loses its power and aggressiveness over the years.
