1884 Phillies vs

1884 Phillies vs. Athletics "City Series" scorecard. Original scorecard issued by the Phillies with their roster and other team related information printed on the back cover. Interior has "Harry Wright's Official Score Card" titling and pre-printed lineups for a game played between the Phillies and their cross town rival Athletics. They would not have met in the regular season as each played in a different Major League but starting in 1883 as "City Series" was organized for informal pre-season exhibition practice. Scored neatly in pencil with "April 1884" date noted at upper right. The piece was likely mounted at one time and there is both paper residue and a large area of paper loss to the upper front. The halves are secured to each other with tape and there is other scattered wear including some spotting/stains: Very PR
