1966 BG-2 "Batman"Concert Poster, 3rd Printing

1966 Bill Graham Presents BG-2 Fillmore Auditorium concert poster, featuring artwork by Wes Wilson. This historic design is recognized as Wilson's first Bill Graham psychedelic poster and incorporates a bold Batman and Robin theme. The live-action Batman television series had debuted on ABC only a few months earlier, on January 12, 1966, providing timely inspiration for Wilson's imagery. The poster advertised three evenings at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, March 18-20, 1966. Performers included The Mystery Trend, Big Brother and the Holding Company, The Family Tree, Quicksilver Messenger Service, The Gentlemen's Band, The Great Society, and Skins. This example is the third printing and measures approximately 14 x 20 in. Artwork signed "Wes Wilson '66" within the image. Light pinholes at the corners, with a few light stains at the lower right. There is a small approximately 1/2 in. tear along the lower left edge. Additional light handling and age-related wear may be present including light creases.
