1969 Pin Bologna Vino Barbera d'Asti - Piedmont - 24 Bottles (0.75L)

Lot consisting of 11 bottles of 1968 and 13 bottles of 1969 Barbera d'Asti from Pin Bologna, in excellent condition in every respect, as shown in the photos! The historic Bologna e Figli winery (founded by Giuseppe Bologna—known in the Piedmontese dialect as "Pin"—in Rocchetta Tanaro). For decades, this family-run Piedmontese estate has produced renowned Barbera d'Asti Superiore labels bearing the name of its founder, Pin Bologna. This name often causes slight confusion with the world-famous Braida winery, founded just a short distance away by Giacomo Bologna (Giuseppe’s son). It was Giacomo who—inspired by the family's historic vineyards and the work of his father, "Pin"—revolutionized the Piedmontese wine world by introducing barrique aging and creating timeless masterpieces. Older vintages and historic reserves of Pin Bologna Barbera d'Asti are distinguished by their classic profile and exceptional longevity. They feature an intense ruby red color that shifts toward garnet and purple hues with age. The bouquet is broad and layered, rich in ripe red fruit, cherry jam, and blackberry notes, complemented by subtle spice nuances reminiscent of vanilla and green pepper. It offers an experience for refined palates: a warm, full-bodied wine supported by the vibrant acidity typical of Barbera, allowing it to evolve magnificently in the bottle over many years. Additional shipping charges apply for remote locations worldwide.
