1985 Château Bellerive Quarts de Chaume - Loire...

A lovely opportunity to discover three bottles of Château Bellerive Quarts de Chaume from the 1985 vintage, originating from Rochefort-sur-Loire in the Loire Valley, France. Quarts de Chaume is one of the Loire Valley’s most celebrated appellations for sweet white wines, traditionally produced from Chenin Blanc grapes. These wines are appreciated for their richness, complexity and remarkable ageing potential under suitable storage conditions. As an enthusiast of mature French wines, I particularly appreciate the character of these older Loire vintages. This lot offers an interesting glimpse into the region’s winemaking heritage. Wine details * Estate: Château Bellerive * Vintage: 1985 * Appellation: Quarts de Chaume AOC * Region: Loire Valley, France * Country: France * Grape variety: Chenin Blanc * Wine type: Sweet white wine * Quantity: 3 bottles * Bottling: Estate bottled * Producer indicated on the label: J. Lalanne, Rochefort-sur-Loire Bottle condition All three bottles retain their original capsules and vintage labels. The labels show noticeable signs of age, including tears, scuffing, discolouration and partially detached edges. The vintage marking on one bottle is particularly faded, although the other two clearly display 1985. The capsules appear intact externally, with age-related wear. The bottles have not been opened or tasted. Their storage history is unknown, and their drinking condition cannot be guaranteed. Please examine the photographs carefully, as they form an essential part of the description and accurately show the condition of the bottles offered. A vintage Loire Valley collection These three bottles will particularly appeal to enthusiasts of mature Chenin Blanc, collectors of historic French wines and admirers of the Quarts de Chaume appellation. The bottles will be carefully packed for shipping.
