1989 Jean Bourdy - Château-Chalon - 1 Clavelin (0.62L)

Rare vintage bottle of Château-Chalon 1989, produced and bottled by Jean Bourdy in Arlay, historic house of the Jura. Château-Chalon is among the most iconic wines of the Jura wine region. Made from Savagnin and aged for a long time under a veil, it develops over time a very particular, complex and sought-after personality, with exceptional aging potential. This bottle is presented in the traditional 62 cl clavelin, the emblematic format reserved for Jura’s yellow wines and inseparable from the identity of Château-Chalon. The 1989 vintage, now over 35 years old, adds particular interest to this bottle, for both the old-wines connoisseur and the collector of Jura’s great vintages. The bottle shows a beautiful patina linked to its age. The capsule is still in place, the vintage is clearly legible on the collar and the label, though old, remains complete and identifiable. The amber hue of the wine is visible through the glass. Details: Château-Chalon 1989 – Jean Bourdy – Arlay, Jura – 13% vol. – clavelin 62 cl. A bottle of character, representative of a unique style of wine in France, from a prestigious appellation and particularly sought after by Jura wine enthusiasts.
