Rare and extraordinary pair of armchairs model "Ionica", designed by the trio of designers Guarnacci, Padovano and Vagnoni for the prestigious brand 1P in the 1970s. An authentic icon of Italian design from the Space Age era, this pair stands out for its soft, sculptural and generous lines, conceived to offer enveloping comfort thanks to the soft polyurethane foam padding. Both seats retain their original jacquard fabric upholstery with a psychedelic camouflage pattern in warm tones of orange, cream and brown. The base is equipped with practical retractable wheels that make the chairs easily movable and functional. A unique collectible piece with a great visual impact, perfect to complete reception rooms or mid-century modern design projects. Object condition: The pair is presented in generally good condition and shows normal signs of time due to use and age. As this is an original textile covering from the 1970s, there are some typical superficial stains and halos due to use on the armrests and seating, which do not compromise its structural integrity but testify to its historical authenticity.
