2007 Ford Mustang "Boss 302" by Galpin Auto Sports

A Galpinized reverse restomod: a modern car with retro-inspired touches. Debuted at SEMA in 2007 as an homage to the Boss 302 Mustangs of 1969 and 1970. Finished in the iconic Ford shade of Grabber Blue with Boss 302 “hockey stick” decals. Powered by Ford Racing 390-hp Boss 302 V-8 crate motor with Holley carburetor and MSD Street Fire ignition. Upgraded Tremec TKO 600 five-speed manual transmission with Hurst T-handle shifter. Rear axle upgraded to 4.56:1 gearing; further improved with the Ford Racing handling pack. Rides on GAS custom 20-in. wheels, a modern interpretation of vintage Magstars. Interior features bucket seats trimmed in custom leather with retro-inspired basketweave inserts, retro-inspired “Grant” custom wood-rimmed steering wheel, an A-pillar mounted Moto-Meter shift light, push-button starter, and Eclipse audio unit. Signed by Parnelli Jones, who won the SCCA Trans-Am manufacturers’ championship for Ford in 1970 behind the wheel of a Mustang Boss 302.
