2009 Château Beau-Séjour Bécot

Lot of 3 beautiful Bdx wines of the legendary vintage 2009! The 2009 Château Branaire-Ducru is an exceptional, highly-acclaimed vintage from the Saint-Julien appellation of Bordeaux. Ranked as a Fourth Growth (Quatrième Grand Cru Classé) in the historic 1855 Classification, this wine represents one of the region's benchmark years, where ideal weather allowed for perfect ripening and remarkable flavor concentration. • The Blend: Typically composed of roughly 65% to 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% to 28% Merlot, with minor additions of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. • Alcohol Content: It sits at a well-balanced 13.5% ABV, maintaining freshness despite the warm, ripe vintage. • Flavor Profile: Known for a dense purple-ruby hue. The nose offers complex aromas of cassis, blackcurrant, violets, pipe tobacco, cedar, and dark chocolate. On the palate, it is full-bodied, rich, and expansive, defined by its signature cushiony, velvety tannic texture. The 2009 vintage received stellar scores across major wine publications: • Robert Parker / Wine Advocate: 96 / 100 • Jeb Dunnuck: 96 / 100 • James Suckling: 95 / 100 • Wine Enthusiast: 95 / 100 • Jancis Robinson: 94 / 100 (or 17/20) The wine is currently in its prime drinking window. While it has developed beautiful secondary characteristics like forest floor, mocha, and spice, its intense fruit core and solid structure ensure it will continue to drink spectacularly through 2035–2040 and potentially up to 2050. The 2009 Château Beau-Séjour Bécot is an exceptional, highly-rated Saint-Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé B red Bordeaux wine from a legendary vintage. • Grape Varieties: A right-bank blend consisting of 70% Merlot with the remaining 30% split between Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. • Profile: Full-bodied, powerful, and deeply concentrated with a rich, unctuous texture and an alcohol level of 14.5%. • Aromas & Tasting Notes: Blockbuster nose of blueberry pie, cassis, licorice, forest floor, cederwood, and mocha. It has massive but finely-integrated chewy tannins masked by dense, ripe black fruits and a vibrant, fresh finish.
