Like Climens, it is a true Barsac, pure and remarkably subtle, but with a more pronounced sweetness. For the past few years, Coutet has been in exceptional form! In a rare feat, its outstanding 2020 vintage topped the Revue du Vin de France's Sauternes ranking (ahead of Yquem), calling it "a pinnacle of purity, precocious harmony, and naturalness!" Château Filhot 2008: Sauternes AOC, 2nd Growth Classified, notes of peach, pear and exotic fruits, smooth and fresh mouthfeel, long and elegant finish.
