2011 Odoardi 'GB' Giovan Battista Odoardi Rosso...

Cantina Odoardi is located in the mountainous part of Nocera Terinese, a town in the province of Catanzaro. Here large vineyards develop, including Gagliocco, Magliocco, Greco Nero, and Nerello Mascalese. These vines, cultivated with 10,000 vines per hectare, give life to fantastic products. Placed on soils that are chalky, clayey and calcareous, they cause these vines, during vinification, to develop aromas of forest fruits and raspberry. Their maturation then continues for 12 months in new oak barriques. This aging gives them a flavor of red, ripe plum with notes of roasted hazelnuts. A wine that seems dense in the glass, almost like balsamic vinegar. A fantastic wine represented by the wonderful awards it has received. The case contains three-bottle sets of 2011 and 2012. Vintage 2011-2012: 92 points from Wine Spectator, 96 points from Luca Maroni, 2 Black Glasses from Gambero Rosso and super 3 stars from Veronelli. Vintage 2012: 5 grappoli from Bibenda and many other awards.
