Property of Hubert de Böuard (Château Angélus) and Dominique Hebrard (former co-owner of Château Cheval Blanc) since 1986, Château de Francs is located in the Côtes-de-Francs. An architectural marvel of the Middle Ages, it rises on a clay-limestone terroir, close to the soil composition of Saint-Émilion. Across 37 hectares of vines, this estate offers a grape composition of Merlot at 90% and Cabernet Sauvignon at 10%. Vinification takes place in thermo-regulated vats and aging in new barriques for 30% and one-year-old for the remaining two-thirds. The owners are keen to produce, as with the cuvée "Les Cerisiers", wines that are delicate and elegant. On tasting, the nose shows red fruit aromas, the palate is dense and the mouthfeel generous, the wine opening up with aeration. A classic Bordeaux very well made. Your sales on Catawiki
