2016 Domaine François Raveneau - Chablis - 1 Bottle (0.75L)

Domaine François Raveneau – Chablis 2016 A particularly beautiful and highly sought-after bottle, Domaine François Raveneau Chablis 2016, sourced from one of the most prestigious and hardest-to-obtain producers of Chablis. Domaine François Raveneau has built an almost iconic reputation with Chardonnay from Chablis. The production is small and the wines are known for their minerality, precision, complexity and exceptional ability to develop in bottle. The Chablis 2016 is the domaine’s village cuvée, but produced at a level that fully reflects Raveneau’s reputation. At a tasting of the 2016 series, this wine was described as layered, mouth-filling and very classical, with fine acidity, a lightly salty character and notable depth. 2016 was also a particularly small vintage for Raveneau due to frost, hail, drought and sunburn. The 2016 now combines about ten years of bottle age with the further aging potential for which the wines of the domaine are known. A very attractive bottle for the serious Chablis and Burgundy collector, but of course also a special wine to drink. The photos are part of the description.
