Alle Auktionen / Wine & Spirits / 2019 & 2020 Tenuta San Guido, Sassicaia - Super Tuscans - 2 Bottles (0.75L)
In the mouth it is pure silk: firm yet smooth tannins, fresh acidity, a glossy and refined sip that unfolds into a long and memorable finish. One of the most balanced Sassicaia wines of the last decade — 98 points from Wine Advocate, 99 James Suckling. An icon for collectors, still at the early stages of its extraordinary journey. Sassicaia 2020 Power in its purest form. The 2020 vintage delivers a bold and overwhelming Sassicaia, where intensity and structure fuse into a unique sensory experience. On the nose, a triumph of blackberry, licorice, spices, and new leather, with that touch of cassis that is the signature of this Tuscan myth. The palate is dense, fleshy, almost hypnotic: powerful tannins wrapped in a torrent of fruit, for a sip that leaves no one indifferent. Awarded 97 points by Vinous and James Suckling, the 2020 stands out for a tactile dimension beyond the ordinary. A Sassicaia to treasure and await, for those who seek absolute excellence.
