2022 Vietti Barolo - Piedmont - 1 Magnum (1.5L)

A true flagship of the estate, this wine embodies the Vietti identity. It is a blend of Nebbiolo grapes from various Barolo terroirs, sourced from vines aged 10 to 45 years planted on clay-marl soils. The winemaking process involves pre- and post-fermentation maceration on the skins, followed by 30 months of aging in large casks and barrels. The 2022 Vietti Barolo feels perfectly poised today, thanks to the extended aging typical of the region. The oak integration is flawless, allowing a genuine bouquet to emerge—one that is highly representative of great Barolo Nebbiolo. The palate is velvety, with silky, well-structured tannins and remarkable freshness on the finish. It offers a flavorful, lingering profile of floral and spicy notes: stewed plum and cherry, juniper, rose petal, graphite, blond tobacco, and fine leather. Complex and magnificent—truly outstanding! It possesses great aging potential.
