2023 Château de la Gardine "Cuvée des Générations Gaston Philippe" - Rhône

6 Bts 2023 "Générations Gaston Philippe" A vintage of beautiful quality but with small volumes. Placed under the sign of rarity, the harvests were early and the yields were low. At tasting, the intensity, aromatic complexity, structure and freshness perform faultlessly. Collection of the top cuvée from the Gardine Jancis Robinson : 17+ Jeb Dunnuck: 94/100 Guide Bettane et Desseauve : 17/20 The Wine Cellar Insider : 94/100 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate : 94/100 "One of the stars of the vintage!" A terrific effort from the team at La Gardine, the Châteauneuf du pape cuvée des Générations boasts incredible aromas of allspice and mulberries. It's a blend of 1/3 Grenache, 1/3 Syrah and 1/3 Mourvèdre matured in new barriques, but the oak is barely noticeable. This full-bodied wine is creamy on the mid-palate and then firmly tannic on the long finish, so give it some time in the cellar before popping a cork. Excellent label, neck, excellent capsule, bottle at the Château, bottles of 0,75cl. Shipping in secure packaging by UPS.
