Gilt Copper "World Currency" 0.001 Bitcoin by MyBits Part of Set #18 2026 MyBits "World Currency" 0.001 Bitcoin. Loaded. Serial No. 018. Gilt Copper. MS-69 Deep Prooflike (NGC). Loaded with 0.001 BTC. This striking 2026 issue from MyBits pays homage to one of the most famous magazine covers in financial history. On January 9, 1988, The Economist ran the cover "Get Ready for a World Currency," showing a phoenix wearing a coin dated 2018 and rising over burning banknotes, and predicted that within 30 years the world would share a single currency. Bitcoin arrived just 20 years later, and the cover has since taken on an almost prophetic status among Bitcoin enthusiasts. MyBits reinterprets the image with the Bitcoin symbol on the phoenix's breast, while the reverse carries the legend SOUND MONEY FOR A DIGITAL AGE around a holographic seal. Struck in one ounce of gilt copper from a mintage of just 100 pieces, and tied for Top Pop at NGC with only three certified at this grade. Offered alongside the two other compositions of the issue, all sharing serial number 018, in consecutive lots. Also included with the coin is the Certificate of Authenticity (COA) and the numbered pouch. Public address: 14a2kufj9TvG1yHbgA9aSw5xW9RrGRs21B Click here for certification details from NGC.
