The largest of the three denominations offered here, this MyBits issue revisits The Economist's celebrated 1988 cover, which pictured a phoenix rising from burning banknotes under the headline "Get Ready for a World Currency." Its prediction of a single global currency by 2018 has often been read as foreshadowing Bitcoin, launched two decades later. The phoenix here bears the Bitcoin symbol on its breast, and the reverse features a holographic seal framed by the legend SOUND MONEY FOR A DIGITAL AGE. Struck in one troy ounce of .999 fine silver from a mintage of just 100 pieces, this is the only example graded MS-70 by NGC.
