Alle Auktionen / Zeitgenössische Kunst / A. Asencio - Montaña - XL
"Montaña" is an original work where the human figure is constructed as a single volume from the relationship between line, color, and pictorial matter. The bodies intertwine to form a compact structure that concentrates the visual weight of the composition. Work belonging to the series "Anatomy of the Gesture", a set of paintings that investigates the representation of the human figure through a gestural and contemporary language. The brushstroke remains free and visible, alternating zones of greater density with transparencies and open lines that evoke drawing while not abandoning the painting language. The matter retains the trace of the gesture, allowing the execution process to become part of the image. The palette, dominated by blues, greens, and yellows, departs from a naturalistic representation to build volume through chromatic relationships. The forms are simplified to acquire an almost sculptural presence, where the balance between mass, light, and void organizes the entire composition. • Artist: A. From my earliest crafts to painting, where I found my main language of expression. That is how I discovered a universe full of possibilities to convey my ideas, concerns, and emotions. I am especially interested in creating compositions that offer the viewer a vantage point from which they can identify. Whether through discomfort, serenity, or contemplation, my aim is to generate a space for reflection and questioning. Technically, I am attracted to vibrant colors, strong saturations, and fresh chromatic ranges. I find great inspiration in observing our social and natural environment. I often like to imagine that I am observing the planet from far away; that symbolic distance allows me to rethink reality from another perspective. I also explore the universe of the feminine, addressing its multiple dimensions from a personal, sensitive, and introspective viewpoint.
