A Chinese dehua figure of guanyin 17th century the deity modelled seated on a rough rockery prominence and dressed in a voluminous robe and her chest adorned with a bejewelled necklace, the back impressed with the marker's seal mark 'Lin Muxi' 34cm high Provenance: by repute previously purchased from a private Dorset collection Compare with a seated Guanyin dated to the first half of the 17th century, illustrated in John Ayers, Blanc de Chine: Divine Images in Porcelain, China Institute Gallery, New York, 2002, p. 85, no. 36. Both this publication and Robert H.
