A GEORGE II WALNUT AND FEATHERBANDED SIDE TABLE OR LOWBOY BY JOHN PARDOE, CIRCA 1740 The central drawer with a partial trade label for John Pardoe 72cm high, 76cm wide, 48cm deep John Pardoe, cabinet maker and upholsterer (d. 1748), was established at Temple Bar in the Strand between 1717-23. Records show that he supplied furniture for some of the great British houses, including mirrors for Erddig, Denbigshire in 1717 and several pieces for Lord Leigh of Stoneleigh Abbey, Warwickshire.
