A rare low-seated bergère with a wraparound backrest, made of mahogany and mahogany veneer, featuring a marquetry decoration of rosettes, quatrefoils, and stylized palmettes in ebony and pewter. The backrest is flanked by ram’s heads, and the armrests rest on three lotus-shaped legs finely carved with palmettes and volutes. Attributed to François-Honoré-Georges and Georges Jacob (1803–1813).
