With an arched pediment inset with a panel depicting a bowl of fruit in a gadrooned vase, inlaid stones including lapis lazuli, giallo di Siena , amethyst, surmounted by an ormolu border of laurel leaves, above a moulded cornice, the body inset with a lapis lazuli circular clock dial with Roman chapters flanked by two lapis lazuli columns with Corinthian pilasters, above a ribbon-tied festoon of fruits, on a square base inset with a further ribbon-tied festoon, the sides inlaid with pietra dura, on ormolu sabots and an an associated ebonised plinth inset with jasper, with a twin-train eight-day movement, signed on the backplate 'HUNZIKER'
