Adams Minuet dinnerware set — Real English Ironstone porcelain, Staffordshire, classic black-and-white motif Description A set that gathers several formats of the "Minuet" service, the design Adams & Sons inherited from the nineteenth-century lithographs of J. Meir & Son and reinterpreted in their own Staffordshire manufacturing, with classic scenes of buildings and lakeside landscapes in black and white. Produced by William Adams & Sons, firm founded in 1657 and a member of the Wedgwood group, each piece is stamped as "Real English Ironstone" and "Member of the Wedgwood Group," which places its manufacture after 1966. Contents of the lot • 5 flat plates of 25.5 cm • 7 flat plates of 23.5 cm • 7 flat plates of 20.5 cm • 6 deep plates of 22.5 cm • 1 oval platter of 29.5 cm • 2 oval platters of 34.5 cm Condition All pieces show crazing, typical of the porcelain of their era. Measurements • Flat plates: 25.5 cm / 23.5 cm / 20.5 cm in diameter (depending on size) • Deep plates: 22.5 cm in diameter • Oval platters: 29.5 cm and 34.5 cm
