oil on canvas, 49 x 38cm; framed 69 x 64cm, Condition Report, Condition Report, Craquelure. There are a few tiny losses to the background in the upper right. Surface dust and dirt with some dark marks acroos the hair at the top of the head. There are some lighter spots of paint to the forehead and nose, please refer to illustration. There has been some transfer of gold paint from the frame to the upper edge. Examined under UV light a small patch of overpaint fluoresces strongly in the lower right corner, however much of the surface is obscured by a thick layer of varnish which may conceal further restoration.
