I am auctioning a spectacular long necklace of Brazilian agates (green, pink, brown, purple, blue...); Santa Ágata stone (Symbol of Fortitude). The entire necklace has been hand-knotted with knots at every bead; the clasp is 925 sterling silver with gold plating. This exclusive necklace, being very long, can be worn in many different ways, all very flattering depending on the occasion. The relationship between agate and Christianity is twofold: on one hand, it is mentioned as a precious stone in the Bible, and on the other, it is associated with the figure of Santa Ágata (Symbol of Fortitude). Fortitude symbolism: Her story is an example of steadfast faith and resilience in the face of torture. She is the patron saint of Catania, and her intercession is invoked against volcanic eruptions (such as Mount Etna). She is also the patroness of nurses and of people who suffer from breast cancer, due to the tortures she endured.
