Alden Shell Cordovan US Size 9.5 E (EU Size 43.5) Black Shell Cordovan Cap Toe Blucher Original Packaging NEW The Cap Toe Blucher by Alden is a masterful interpretation of the traditional lace-up shoe. In the history of the long-established New England manufacturer, exactly this cut holds a deeply rooted, special position, as it was considered the aesthetic answer to the everyday needs of scholars and dignitaries on the American East Coast at the beginning of the twentieth century. These personalities demanded footwear that combined the uncompromising formal seriousness of a straight cap toe with accommodating, open lacing in order to endure endless days on their feet with dignity. This design pragmatism established the model's unwavering reputation as a reliable companion in the most demanding and respectable environments of its time. This piece is crafted on the classic Aberdeen last, which gives the shoe a remarkably flowing, fine line. The deep black Shell Cordovan from the time-honored Horween tannery captivates with its unobtrusive, unfathomable shine and bears witness to the months of careful handcrafting during the leather's maturation. A precisely executed, Goodyear welted construction with a durable oak bark tanned leather sole forms the supreme base. It is a quiet testament to artisanal devotion that, with every step, exudes that unobtrusive nobility which can only be brought forth by genuine, lived tradition. Size: US Size 9.5 / Width E (EU Size 43.5 / UK Size 9) Total outer length: approx. 31.3 cm Inner length: approx. 29 cm Width: approx. 11 cm Leather / Outer condition: NEW Heel / Sole: NEW Miscellaneous: As a quiet monument to the traditional art of shoemaking, the black Cap Toe Blucher preserves its immovable dignity and outlasts the fleeting fashions of time in perfect serenity.
