This spectacular object unites the creative genius of two leading figures of the world-famous Milanese Memphis design group: the egg-shaped, sculptural form was designed by British designer George Sowden. The colorful, fantastical decor with exotic birds and floral elements comes from the hand of French artist and painter Nathalie du Pasquier. The style deliberately breaks with the strict, colorless Bauhaus rules and relies on emotional provocation and the pure joy of design. The exclusive porcelain piece was produced to Alessi’s exacting standards in a renowned German traditional manufactory. Absolute collector’s dream condition (New Old Stock): Condition: The lidded jar is completely new, flawless and unused. It has never been displayed or exposed to light and shows no chips, cracks, hairlines, or wear in the decoration. The porcelain is pristine white and the colors are as fresh as on the first day in 1997.
