Alessi - Marcel Wanders - Cutlery set (32) - ''Dressed en...

This 32-piece Dressed en plein air cutlery set was designed by internationally acclaimed designer Marcel Wanders for Alessi and represents a refined combination of contemporary design, functionality and decorative sophistication. The set comprises 8 table spoons, 8 table forks, 8 table knives and 8 coffee spoons, all crafted in black melamine with subtle relief decoration. With the Dressed en plein air collection, Wanders reinterprets traditional tableware for a contemporary lifestyle. Rather than placing decoration in the most visible areas, he applies ornamentation in discreet and unexpected locations. This distinctive approach, described by Alessi as a form of “introverted decoration”, creates a rich visual language while preserving an overall sense of elegance and lightness. The result is a design that feels both contemporary and timeless, with subtle references to baroque ornamentation. Manufactured from high-quality melamine, the cutlery combines refined aesthetics with outstanding practicality. The material is lightweight, durable and highly resistant to everyday use, while being suitable for both hot and cold dishes. These qualities make the set comfortable to handle and particularly versatile, offering the practicality required for regular use without compromising on design. Although originally conceived with outdoor living in mind, the collection is by no means limited to outdoor settings. It is equally at home during a relaxed garden lunch, an elegant terrace dinner or a poolside gathering as it is on a contemporary indoor dining table. The matte black finish and refined relief decoration create a sophisticated appearance that complements a wide variety of table settings, making the set suitable for both everyday dining and special occasions. The present set is offered in new, unused condition and comes complete with its original Alessi packaging. A complete 32-piece edition of one of Marcel Wanders’ most distinctive designs for Alessi, bringing together innovation, practicality and decorative refinement in a uniquely contemporary way.
