About the Designers Stefano Giovannoni: Born in La Spezia in 1954, Stefano as an architect and designer was taught by Buti at Florence University. In the early 80’s he founded the King-Kong Production Group along with Guido Venturini. A technical designer par excellence he has industrial design in his DNA and the capacity to understand public sentiment like no other designer. His projects began with the Girotondo (1989 designed with Guido Venturini) and the first transparent objects in plastic from the Family Follows Fiction series (1993). Paul van Iersel: Born in Breda in 1966, Dutch designer Paul van Iersel graduated from the prestigious Design Academy Eindhoven in 1992 before attending the Domus Academy in Milan. In 1998, he co-founded the renowned international design studio Harry & Camila alongside Camila Vega, bringing a refined, cross-cultural perspective to modern object design. About Alessi: Alessi, a renowned Italian design brand founded in 1921 Giovanni Alessi, has become a symbol of cutting-edge design and innovative craftsmanship, especially in Postmodernism and Contemporary design as well as some Bauhaus objects. Over the decades, it has collaborated with iconic designers such as Alessandro Mendini, Aldo Rossi, Achille Castiglioni, Ettore Sottsass (a founder of the Memphis group), Michael Graves, Marcel Wanders, Richard Sapper, Zaha Hadid, the Bouroullec brothers, Tom Kovac, Toyo Ito, Jean Nouvel, Ron Arad, and Gio Ponti. These collaborations have cemented Alessi's reputation for creating timeless, functional pieces that double as works of art. The most celebrated design is Philippe Starck's Juicy Salif citrus squeezer, which almost became Alessi’s brand symbol in the minds of design lovers. This makes Alessi a brand with high impact and rich marriage with fundamental design DNA. More recently, a collaboration with Virgil Abloh's creative agency infused a fresh, modern sensibility into Alessi’s offerings.
