In my latest works I have focused on the theme of women treated as objects (dolls) and too often victims of violence, and these are the last works realized. Children should play and not experience the horrors of war... *** This work is unique and original. Each work is safely packaged, wrapped and protected for shipment worldwide, with the Certificate of Authenticity included. A shipping tracking number is provided. This piece will be shipped without a frame or canvas frame as the work will be shipped rolled. The canvas is larger than the painted dimensions because the larger surface will be useful and necessary to tension the canvas on a frame. It is advisable to have the work stretched and mounted by a trusted professional who can also advise you on an eventual suitable frame. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. The amount should be between 10% and 20% of the artwork value. Born in 1974 I am self-taught. After an initial period dedicated to sculpture there was a long stop lasting almost twenty years. Since December 2014 I returned to the “two dimensions” for reasons of time and space, neglecting sculpture and dedicating myself to acrylic paintings. I love painting abstract landscapes but recently I have been pushing myself to paint faces of people, both imaginary and real. For me painting is about "freezing time" in that exact moment; a painting of mine is often a faded memory and therefore my works are "worn, eroded by time". Sometimes the subjects of my paintings are glimpses of walls also eroded by time, with moss and fungi that – over time – grow on the surface. Time, which passes inexorably, is the main theme of my works. Coming from a wonderful experience with clay manipulation, I love sculpture, the third dimension, the sense of touch and my paintings are often characterized by reliefs clearly perceivable by touch as well as to the eye. Recently, after several years in which my works were made from small pieces of recycled paper forming figures, I am pushing myself to explore Optical Art where I use painted wooden discs arranged in lines and repeated grids with mathematical rigor that viewed up close seem to form a colorful abstract painting but the closer you get, the more a portrait emerges from the 768 painted wooden discs.
