I create paintings using acrylic colors and thousands of small pieces of recycled paper: everyday paper is transformed into art instead of ending up in the trash. Series "Not your doll" - In my latest works I have focused on the theme of women treated as objects (dolls) and too often victims of violence, and these are the most recent pieces I have produced. On these tiny pieces of paper you can read words and phrases scattered here and there. It often happens when we truly approach another person: sometimes we perceive their secret messages, sometimes not. "Not your doll" - "I am not your toy" is a series where I intend to represent female faces with features reminiscent of the most classic dolls and the message is: "even if I look like a real doll, I am not a doll, your doll and do with me whatever you want" with all that lies behind, up to, unfortunately, violence. The surface features small reliefs and I enjoy caressing it, feeling it... I also use acrylic resin on the surface, which gives a glossy effect and protects the colors from sunlight and dust. This work is unique and original. Each work is securely packaged, wrapped, and protected for worldwide shipping, with the Certificate of Authenticity included. I use the courier provided directly by Catawiki and a tracking number will be supplied for the shipment. This piece will be shipped without a frame and without a stretcher as it will be shipped rolled. The canvas is larger than the painted dimensions because the greater surface will be useful and necessary to be stretched on a frame. The amount should be between 10% and 20% of the artwork value. Born in 1974 I am self-taught. After an initial period devoted to sculpture there was a long stop of almost twenty years. Since December 2014 I resumed with the "two dimensions" for reasons of time and space, leaving sculpture aside and dedicating myself to acrylic paintings. I love painting abstract landscapes but recently I have been pushing myself to paint faces of people both imaginary and actually existing. For me painting is "freezing time" in that exact moment; a painting of mine is often a faded memory and therefore my works are "worn, eroded by time". Sometimes the subjects of my paintings are gorges of walls also eroded by time, with mosses and mushrooms that - over time - grow on the surface. The inexorable passing of time is the main theme of my works. Coming from a beautiful experience with clay manipulation, I love sculpture, the third dimension, the sense of touch and my paintings are often characterized by reliefs clearly perceivable both by touch and to the naked eye. Recently, after several years during which my works were created from pieces of recycled paper forming figures, I am pushing myself to explore Optical Art where I use painted wooden discs arranged in lines and grids with mathematical rigor that up close seem to form a colorful abstract picture but the more you move away the more a portrait of the 768 painted wooden discs emerges.
