Alle Auktionen / Zeitgenössische Kunst / Alexandre Petrus (1988) - CHILD'S DREAM
ABOUT THE ARTWORK “Child’s Dream” is a poetic and uplifting artwork about imagination, freedom, and the power of dreaming beyond reality. The composition shows a child sailing through the sky on a windsurf, carried by a cloud instead of the sea. This unexpected scene transforms a simple childhood image into a symbol of escape, ambition, and the limitless world of dreams. The blue palette gives the piece a calm, airy and contemplative atmosphere, while the hand-cut stencil technique brings sharp contrast and movement to the composition. The result is both playful and symbolic. A strong and inspiring artwork for collectors drawn to childhood, freedom, and contemporary street art with an emotional message. ABOUT THE ARTIST Alexandre Petrus is a French stencil artist with a strong and instantly recognizable visual identity. His signature technique — the hand-cut double-layer stencil — separates light and shadow into two distinct stencils, layered onto a spontaneous, hand-painted abstract background. The result: a sharp, iconic figure rising from a vibrant, textured chaos of color. To date, 450+ artworks sold in 10+ countries have found their way into private collections across France, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, the UAE, and the US. He has performed live painting for major French institutions including Disneyland Paris, created large-scale murals for corporate headquarters, and exhibited in several French street art festivals. His work is currently shown at Galerie Spot 72 in Le Mans. His subjects move between mythology, pop culture icons, wildlife and emotionally charged scenes. Whatever the theme, the signature remains: precise stencil work, instinctive background, and the small smiling “AP” monogram — Alexandre’s two initials fused into a face — sprayed on every original piece. Each artwork is a unique original. No prints, no identical editions: every background is painted individually and spontaneously on the canvas, making each piece different. SHIPPING The artwork is carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and protective plastic film, then secured in a custom-sized cardboard box for safe international transit. The signed certificate of authenticity is included inside the package. Shipping via Colissimo or Chronopost, tracked and insured. Dispatch within 3 working days after payment confirmation.
