Alla Faber - Open Sky. Serie: Poppies XXL

Technical Details and Description Open Sky — Poppies Original painting by Alla Faber Acrylic on canvas Dimensions: approx. 160 × 108 cm Canvas: 400 g/m² Series: Poppies Shipping: rolled, without a stretcher frame An authenticity certificate is included. Open Sky is a large-format work from the Poppies series, where bright red poppies meet an open, bright, and atmospheric color world. From dense, dark vegetation, numerous poppies rise at varying heights. Vivid reds form an intense contrast to the subdued greens, grays, and pinkish tones of the surroundings. Fine stems, grasses, and spontaneous splashes of color give the composition movement and a lively, natural rhythm. The image opens up toward the top. The lush vegetation transitions into a wide, bright sky, creating a striking contrast between the dense, powerful lower half and the tranquil expanse above. The red blossoms seem to reach toward the open space, lending lightness and dynamism to the vertical composition. White, yellow, and gold color accents recall small wildflowers and glints of light among the grasses. They lighten the darker areas and amplify the impression of a summer field full of movement and life. The title Open Sky echoes the special openness of the composition—the sense of vastness, freedom, and a gaze that loses itself in the bright sky beyond the wild poppy field. With its large vertical format, the work is particularly suited as a striking focal point in tall, open spaces as well as in modern living, office, or reception areas. Note: Because the canvas is shipped unstretched, please allow part of the edge to be used for wrapping when stretching. The visible dimensions may therefore be slightly smaller after stretching. About the Artist Alla Faber lives and works in Hamburg. For several years she has devoted herself to abstract and contemporary painting, creating large-format works that balance between calm and motion, structure and lightness. Her preferred materials are acrylic paints, texture gels, and metal foils— combined in fine, often multi-layered compositions. Through delicate transitions, harmonious color gradients, and light reflections, her images do not dominate the space but fill it with quiet presence. Her artistic work follows the concept “So klingt die Stille” — a painterly exploration of the moment between sound and silence. In this silence, for Faber there is no emptiness, but a living force: the breathing of light, the whisper of colors, the soft pulsation of the space. Her works have been shown in several exhibitions in Hamburg, including Hamburg zeigt Kunst and in various galleries and HASPA branches. Numerous works are now in private collections across Europe—including Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. Her works are also represented in private collections worldwide, including the USA and the United Arab Emirates.
