Almansi - Le Bambine di Carroll - 1974

Celebrated and rare volume of art published by the prestigious Milanese publishing house Franco Maria Ricci within the series "I segni dell'uomo" (no. 15), printed in 3000 numbered copies on special blue-tinted paper (this is copy no. 762). The work gathers a precious selection of letters and photographs taken by Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (better known by the pseudonym Lewis Carroll). The correspondence and portraits are dedicated to his very young friends and muses. In the introductory essay, Guido Almansi analyzes Carroll's complex and controversial literary and psychological personality, focusing on the poetic value of his epistolary production, conceived as a continual "linguistic game" and an intimate dialogue with the world of childhood. Guido Almansi (ed.), Le Bambine di Carroll. Foto e lettere di Lewis Carroll a Mary, Alice, Irene, Agnese..., Milan, Franco Maria Ricci, 1974. PP.: 189, (V). COMPLETE.
