Pope, cofounder of the AMA collective, develops a unique artistic universe driven by a practice of visual arts from childhood, an uncompromising attention to detail, and meticulous visual research. Through sculptures, paintings, and installations, he draws inspiration from photography, urban landscapes, and everyday scenes, with a sensitive and wondrous gaze, attentive to both the simplicity and the complexity of the world around him. Pope mainly draws inspiration from the world around him but also from trends among renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name a few. Whether it’s for a gift, a keepsake, or your personal contemporary art collection, you will easily find your favorite piece thanks to the diversity of our works. Indeed, Pope pursues his urban art passion through street art and pop art (in limited or open editions), addressing a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, the harms of drugs, luxury and haute couture brands, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medicines, recycling and upcycling, products of the agro-food and fashion industries (sport, sneakers...). Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, Pope enjoys subtly distorting with mischief labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman...), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many others. Dear bidders, our collective makes every effort to ensure that all information necessary to appreciate the lot being sold is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description, and photos... After the sale, no unjustified claim will be considered. Thank you for your understanding.
