A geode is a hollow rock with a gemstone inside. They are formed under pressure during volcanic processes. The formation of amethyst in the geode often starts with quartz, which during volcanic processes is liquid and crawls through cracks in rock, cools and solidifies. Amethyst develops its purple color due to the presence of iron and titanium. The amethyst crystals are often hexagonal. In sunlight amethysts can fade, but through irradiation with radium they can regain their purple color. Besides the fact that they look stunning, many people also believe that amethyst geodes can influence energies in our bodies and in the home. Amethysts are associated within chakra philosophy and crystal healing with the upper two chakras (energy centers in the body), namely the third eye chakra and the crown chakra. The atoms that make up the stones emit vibrations. Atoms in our bodies also vibrate. In metaphysics, it is assumed that there are ‘high vibrations’, linked to the spiritual and positive, and ‘low vibrations’ associated with the earth and more negative states of mind, such as depression. This geode originates from Brazil. It was kept in a dark space. The amethyst has a beautiful shape. The hollow of the geode is not very deep. The color is indeed a beautiful purple. To make the geode stand properly, it has been finished, as is common with geodes, with cement and anthracite paint. For the photos a small light was used to properly show the interior.
