AN IMPERIAL RUSSIAN ARMY TSAR'S PRIZE MARKMANSHIP WATCH c.1915. A full cased pocket watch, the front cover with crossed rifles before a target within a legend 'For excellent Shooting'. The watch with white enamelled dial with Roman numerals and small seconds dial, signed Tobias. The rear inner cover decorated with exhibition awards and 'Watches for Russia' legend. With a key wound movement. 5.5 cm. There was great competition for these watches that were presented annually, so few people having watches at this time. There are four face variations known.
