This Celtic amulet with religious or magical powers intended to protect, heal or harm the people it is made for symbolizes the chimney with burning coal. Its main symbol is the burning coal from the Samhain bonfire, a Celtic festival that marked the end of the harvest and at which sacred fires were lit as offerings to the gods. The Celts carried coal from that bonfire to their homes as a symbol of protection and good fortune. The amulet is composed of three elements: the burning coal at the top, which symbolizes protective strength; a central circle, which represents eternity; and the image of the home at the bottom.
