Bronze ring with small circular disc – 1st–5th century AD A bronze ring with a small circular, flat-faced bezel and shoulders widening gently towards the head. The hoop has a simple section and a slightly irregular outline. Changes in texture are visible on the disc, but no engraving is sufficiently clear to describe as a figure or inscription. Green and brown patina covers much of the surface, with deposits at the joins and wear around the bezel edge. The circular face provides a small focal point above the hoop, with a relatively modest projection in profile. Its outline is more clearly discernible than any detail within the central field. The shoulders broaden gradually rather than forming abrupt ornamental steps, producing a restrained and practical-looking design. Surface alteration is visible on both the head and the band, and the uneven patina should be distinguished from any intentional decoration that may originally have occupied the face. Material: Bronze Dimensions: 2.2 x 1.8 cm Weight: 5.66 gr Provenance: Acquired in Germany from an auction house, previously from a personal collection. We guarantee the authenticity of the pieces, backed by the combined experience of our experts spanning more than 40 years. A Certificate of Authenticity (CoA) will be sent digitally by email.
