White quartz beads and green-tinted glass from Ancient Rome combined with modern beads plated in 18Kt gold and set on thread plated in 18Kt gold. They are linked on jewelry hooks and a modern chain plated in 18Kt gold. Minimalist and versatile, they make the perfect complement for any occasion. In Ancient Rome, white quartz was carved to create personal ornaments. They believed it was Alps ice, so frozen that it would never melt. Because of this belief they carved spheres to wear on hot summer days to cool themselves. In addition, it was attributed healing properties and was used in divination practices and medicinal rituals.
