Bronze archaeological fastener with double oval rings Declared provenance: Roman archaeological context. Material: Copper alloy or cast bronze. Description for auction: Interesting bronze archaeological fastener, characterized by its elegant double oval-ring structure and a central crossbar that symmetrically divides the two openings. Made by single-piece casting, it features rounded contours, a robust section, and a balanced composition that combines functionality with ornamental simplicity. Its configuration allows the threading and retention of strap or woven elements, constituting an attractive example of historical fastening systems used in clothing and equipment accessories. The surface retains an intense olive-green and brown patina, with mineral deposits, small irregularities, and surface wear that give it a pronounced archaeological character. Condition: Good, with both rings complete, the central bar intact, and an attractive superficial patina.
