Alle Auktionen / Zeitgenössische Kunst / Andrea Krauß - Woodlands_03
Lovingly crafted down to the smallest detail, the landscapes and natural spaces in Andrea Krauß’s paintings present themselves. In “Woodlands” she focuses with remarkable precision and sensitivity on depictions of birch trees in their natural surroundings. The acrylic-on-canvas scene features distinctly structured birch trunks that stand out from the background with their characteristic white‑gray bark. Through a lively, impasto application of color, an intriguing surface texture emerges that suggests depth and movement. The finely graded greens of the foliage—from deep, saturated green to bright chartreuse—create a multi-layered, almost impressionistic play of light and shadow. This work is not only a natural observation but also a quiet homage to the structure and elegance of the birch. Ideal for collectors of contemporary nature painting as well as lovers of atmospheric forest landscapes. The artwork at a glance: - Part of the series “Woodlands” — impressions of nature in unique painting - Painted on high-quality canvas stretcher — ready to hang - Signed, numbered, and with all image data on the back - Professionally packaged for shipping using bubble wrap - Certificate of authenticity included Andrea Krauß ranks among the prominent figures of contemporary German painting. A recipient of the AOK Nordost Art Prize (Berlin/Brandenburg) and former fellow of the renowned Lukas artists’ house in Ahrenshoop, she completed her studies at the Braunschweig University of Art. For many years she has devoted herself to painting and now lives and works in her studio in the heart of Berlin. At the center of her artistic work is the fusion of memory, atmosphere, and landscape. Starting from personal impressions, Andrea Krauß develops pictorial worlds that go beyond the individual and touch universal experiences of nature, space, and transience. Recurring motifs include birch trees and other elements of nature, whose quiet presence intertwines with traces of human design and memory. Andrea Krauß’s works have been shown in galleries, museums, and prestigious exhibitions and are now part of numerous private collections. Her works captivate with their poetic force, their atmospheric density, and the sensitive connection between nature observation and personal memory.
