Andrea Malinconico (1635-1698), Bottega - Adorazione di Sant'Antonio da Padova

Painting on panel measuring 28x40x1.5 cm (50x60 with mat and frame). Composition with the same subject as the large altarpiece “Adoration of the Crucified Christ of Saint Anthony of Padua” by Andrea Malinconico in the church of Santa Maria Donnaromita in Naples, reproduced among the images. The complimentary frame was added in the second half of the 20th century. Andrea Malinconico (Naples, June 3, 1635 – Naples, October 4, 1698), progenitor of a family of numerous, accomplished painters, was a pupil of Massimo Stanzione and one of the most renowned painters in 17th-century Naples.
