Andy Warhol - Madonna - Madonna and Sean Penn's Wedding Gift

The bridge to the Factory: Madonna met Warhol in 1984 thanks to her then partner, the painter Jean-Michel Basquiat. The Madonna Wannabe phenomenon: In 1985, Warhol acted as a judge in a Madonna impersonators contest organized by Macy's department stores. Mutual fascination: The King of Pop Art dedicated multiple pages of his personal diaries to the singer and described his marriage to Sean Penn as "the most exciting weekend of his life". Historical parallel: Warhol admired her for turning her own body and image into a work of art, just as he did with Marilyn Monroe. 43x34 cm, never exhibited in perfect condition. It is shipped well protected and with tracking code. Heavy-weight paper and excellent satin finish.
