Antique Oval Extending Dining Table 19th C & 8 Swagback Dining Chairs

This is a fabulous antique Victorian oval mahogany extending dining table, circa 1850 in date and eight swagback dining chairs. The table can comfortably seat eight and has been hand-crafted from solid mahogany which has a beautiful grain and colour. The three leaves can be added or removed as required to suit the occasion by a special winding mechanism. The table is raised on four square tapering legs, with applied roundel decoration, that terminate in brass cap castors which makes it easy to move when required. The set of eight chairs date from the second half of the 20th Century comprising six side chairs and two armchairs. They all feature an attractive swag back design with 'drop in' seats that have been reupholstered in the finest claret damask. Condition: In excellent condition having been beautifully cleaned, polished waxed and the chairs reupholstered in our workshops, please see photos for confirmation.
