Curated collection of antique, vintage and modern rugs Antique Turkish Oushak Rug Size: 14 ft 7 in x 11 ft 9 in (4.44 m x 3.58 m) Provenance: From a Los Angeles residence Circa 1900 A generously scaled antique Oushak distinguished by the broad drawing, spacious composition, and relaxed decorative character that have made these Turkish carpets especially desirable among interior designers. Its substantial room-size format allows the design to unfold with confidence, while the softened appearance gives it warmth and immediate livability. Condition Request Condition Report The carpet presents very well overall and is ready for immediate use. The ends are in good order, and the side selvages are original. There are several localized areas of repiling where the pile had worn low enough to expose the foundation. The small white central medallion has been repiled, and additional restored areas are visible elsewhere in the field, particularly within some of the floral motifs. Despite these localized interventions, the carpet is structurally sound, visually well balanced, and requires no immediate further work. It remains a very decorative and attractive example.
