Antoine Stevens (1987) - Sans titre

Antoine Stevens (1987) - Untitled - 2018 Artist: Antoine Stevens Title: Untitled Year: around 2018 Technique: Acrylic and spray paint on canvas Dimensions: 80 x 100 cm Signature: Hand-signed by the artist Authenticity: Original and unique work Condition: Excellent condition Description of the work With this untitled female portrait, Antoine Stevens delivers a composition of great sensibility, where the subject's gentleness meets the free energy of contemporary painting. The model is represented in profile, head slightly tilted back, in an attitude that is both serene and introspective. The face, treated with finesse, stands out for the subtlety of the skin tones and the delicacy of the expression. The long white and dark strands, animated by a movement effect, enhance the elegance of the composition. The vegetal detail placed in the hair, with vivid pink and turquoise tones, provides a luminous and decorative contrast that immediately draws the eye. It dialogues with the brown and golden hues of the clothing, while energizing the whole. The drips, transparencies, and traces of material recall the artist's urban influences and give the work a very contemporary presence. Antoine Stevens once again asserts his ability to coexist the realism of the portrait with the spontaneity of the painterly gesture. An elegant, expressive, and poetic work, representative of Antoine Stevens' singular universe. About the artist Born in 1987 in Lille, Antoine Stevens is a French painter of graffiti culture.
