Primo GMT Bronze is a diver built with a material that very few actually use: solid marine bronze CuSn6, the alloy employed in naval environments to resist seawater. Not a coating, not a superficial treatment applied to steel: case, bezel and crown are bronze through and through, from the outer layer to the core. That is what makes each piece different from all the others. Bronze reacts to air, to skin, to salt spray, and over time it develops a patina that no other watch will have: it darkens in the engravings, it lightens where sleeve rubbing has polished it. Buying an Arcaido is not buying a finished object, but an object that keeps working. The GMT function allows reading a second time zone thanks to a fourth central hand, paired with the 24-hour scale printed on the dial: home time remains on the main hands, the second time zone is read on the 24-hour scale, with quick time zone and date adjustment. A tool designed for travelers who want to keep two times within sight. The construction is that of a true instrument. Three hundred meters of water resistance, unidirectional bezel with 120 clicks and matte black ceramic insert — raised numbers and scale, a material that does not scratch or stain — anti-reflective sapphire, black dial with applied indices and Swiss Super-LumiNova BWG9, white in daylight and blue in the dark. The exhibition caseback in 316L steel with sapphire allows viewing the Swiss automatic movement in action: circular graining decorations, blued screws and a customized IP black rotor that spins with every wrist gesture. It is a finish rarely found at this price range, and here it is not hidden under a closed caseback. The strap is Italian-made leather, hand-stitched and interchangeable thanks to two removable end-links. In the luxury box you will find the second strap in NBR rubber and the complete tool kit: the bronze buckle is one piece and transfers from one strap to the other with the included kit.
