The classic spots of the ladybug are created by inlaying authentic murrine into the glass, tiny masterpieces of geometric precision that attest to the complex and centuries-old technique of Murano cane-work. To contrast the warm vibrancy of the glass, the head and the base of the sculpture are finely crafted in polished silver. The metal fusion embraces the glassy body perfectly, creating a harmonious union between the gleaming solidity of silver and the delicacy of Murano crystal.
